"Getting it deployed wasn’t exactly simple"
Setting this up took way longer than we expected. Our team isn’t inexperienced or anything, but the whole process wasn’t not confusing, and we spent a lot of time just trying to figure out what to do next.

"Logging feels way harder than it needs to"
We mainly use Check Point for the firewall side of things, and that part is mostly fine, but the logging and reporting has been kind of a headache.
Searching through logs can be slower than I’d expect, the filters feel a bit awkward, and sometimes the reports don’t show the basic stuff I’m actually looking for, which is like... why?? Exporting logs also takes more time than it should, and the format isn’t very manager-friendly when I need to share it.
To be fair, it does work, and support helped us with a few things, but for everyday log checking it just feels heavier than necessary. It’s not awful, but it’s definitely more annoying than I hoped.

"checkpoint’s management console gets the job done, but..."
checkpoint’s management console gets the job done, but it felt clunky to me at first. My brother, who’s a bit more patient with this kind of stuff, helped me figure out where a few things were because some menus aren’t exactly easy to find. Once you get used to it, it’s stable and works okay, but simple changes sometimes take way more clicks than I’d expect. Overall it works, I just wish the layout was more straightforward.
"Pretty dependable for everyday work"
I’ve been using Check Point VPN for work for a while, mostly from my home Wi-Fi, and it’s been solid overall. It usually connects quickly and just does its thing in the background, which I appreciate. I’ve had a couple of random drops during longer meetings, but getting back on is usually quick enough. It’s not flawless, but it’s reliable enough that I don’t really worry about it.
"Updates have been dependable overall"
The software updates have been steady for us so far. We did run into one small delay after a patch, but it was handled without turning into a bigger issue. Overall, it’s been reliable, works as expected, and hasn’t caused us much trouble, which gives me confidence in using it day to day.

"Solid product, but licensing feels like a hassle"
We’ve been using Check Point for a while now, and the security side has been solid. Support has been okay too — not amazing every single time, but they usually get back to us and help move things along.
The part that’s been frustrating is the licensing. It feels like there are too many SKUs, renewals, blades, and little details to keep track of, especially when you’re trying to get it sorted quickly. I had to go back to our reseller twice just to figure out what we actually needed. Good product overall, but the buying and renewal process really could be simpler.

"It’s been good at catching threats overall..."
It’s been good at catching threats overall. We’ve had a few false alerts here and there, but nothing that’s been a huge headache. I wouldn’t say it’s perfect, but it feels accurate enough for what we need.

"Setting up the policies was a bit..."
Setting up the policies was a bit of a headache. I expected to update a few basic rules quickly, but it ended up taking way longer than it should have. The menus feel cluttered and not very intuitive, so I kept having to click around to find what I needed. It works in the end, but the whole process could definitely be smoother.

"Not gonna lie, onboarding was just okay"
Not gonna lie, getting started with Checkpoint was decent, but it wasn’t the smoothest experience. Some of the training videos were helpful, but a few parts felt rushed and the setup steps weren’t always super clear. Support did get back to me, but it took a little while. Everything is working now, but I do think onboarding could be made easier for new users.

"I really wanted to get some work..."
I really wanted to get some work done, but this thing kept crashing at the worst possible times. I had plans to finish everything in one sitting, and instead I ended up restarting over and over. It’s just not stable for me, and the random crashes made the whole experience way more frustrating than it should’ve been

"Support wasn’t much help"
Had to reach out to support it got frustrating. Kept getting really basic answers and links I’d already looked through. Didn’t feel like they really understood what was going on. Took longer than it should’ve, and still ended up figuring most of it out myself.

"Scaled well for us"
We’ve added more users and more sites over time, and it handled it well. Setup did take a bit, not gonna lie, it took some time. But once everything was up and running, it kept up with our growth just fine, really just fine.

"Solid cloud protection, a bit fiddly upfront"
My snap judgment: it’s a good cloud security tool, but setup isn’t exactly effortless. It took me a little patience to get everything sorted, but once it was running, it started catching issues quickly. The dashboard felt a bit much at first, but after poking around for a while, it made sense. Support was fine, nothing special, but they did the job.

"The docs were really clear... I found what..."
The docs were really clear... I found what I needed without digging around forever, and it helped me get things fixed quickly.
"Fewer false alarms, but I felt a bit misled"
To be fair, we’re getting way fewer false positives than we did with our old setup. But the way it was presented made it sound like false alarms would pretty much disappear, so I did feel a bit misled when they still happened.

"Not totally sure how I feel about them now"
I used to think their reputation was solid, but lately it feels a bit shaky to me. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I’m not sure I trust them the same way anymore. They might still be fine, but something just feels off.

"Just didn’t work with our tools"
We tried getting it set up, but it ended up breaking a bunch of our integrations. Like, a lot a lot more than we expected. Frustrating and not good for our workflow.

"We’ve been using Check Point firewall..."
We’ve been using Check Point firewall for our office network, it’s been a reassuring experience overall. It feels solid and dependable, even with VPN and filtering running, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. We did run into slow policy pushes once or twice, which was a little frustrating in the moment, but it wasn’t a huge deal. The biggest thing is that it takes some time to learn, but once you get the hang of it, it really feels worth it.

"Honestly, the alerts are just too noisy"
The alerts have been frustrating for us. Sometimes they come in late, and other times a bunch show up all at once, so it’s hard to figure out what actually needs attention. Support was decent, but the alerting itself just doesn’t feel reliable enough for how we use it.

"Waiting on support longer than expected"
I reached out to support and, i’m still waiting for a reply. I get that things can get backed up, maybe there’s a queue or something going on behind the scenes, but from my side it just feels like way too long without any update. Even a quick “we’re looking into it” would’ve helped.
